Do I need a doctor’s referral to seek physical therapy treatments?

Physical therapist are primary care providers in Alberta, which means you can book an appointment directly without a doctor’s referral.

What payment options are avaliable

We will offer direct billing to most major insurance companies.

If we are unable direct bill to your specific insurance company, we will be sure to provide all required documentations for you to pay-and-submit on your own.

What does a typical appointment look like?

Assessments

Discussion of injury, medical history, short & long term goals
Physical assessment of area(s) involved
Review of assessment and treatment planning

Treatments

Targeted reassessment to track progress
Review of treatment plan
Treatment to be provided as planned

What should I wear to my appointment

Please wear something you are comfortable in, allows you to move freely and allows open access to for treatment. There will be general change rooms accessible in the facility for your convenience.

Cancellation & No-show policy

At Reatomy Physical Therapy, appointment times are reserved specifically for each patient. Late changes or missed visits prevent others from accessing care. See below




24 hour notice required

Please provide at least 24 hour’s notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Late Cancellation/
Rescheduling

Changes made with less than 24 hours notice will be subjected to a $50 fee.

No-Show fee

Changes made with less than 24 hours notice will be subjected to a $50 fee.

Late policy

Option to proceed with treatment for the remaining time, $50 fee if choose to reschedule.
